Valchiavenna is a natural crossroads between Switzerland, Lake Como, and Valtellina: a surprising territory, where each valley offers a different landscape and every trail offers new experiences.
In just a few pedal strokes you can go from the chestnut woods and abandoned villages surrounding Chiavenna, to the spectacular views of the Alto Lario and Lake Como, up to the Alpine trails of the Spluga Valley, nestled between glaciers and high peaks, to arrive at the pure fun of the flow-trail in Engadine and in the Madesimo bike park.
During your days in the saddle, you'll enjoy authentic dishes at traditional farmhouses and mountain huts, while in the evening, the most authentic experience awaits: dinner in a real Crotto, a symbol of the valley's tradition and conviviality.
Valchiavenna: the ideal place to enjoy your bike holiday surrounded by nature, flavors, and magnificent Alpine views.

Itineraries
Day 1
Welcome to Chiavenna
Welcome to Chiavenna, a charming town just a stone's throw from Lake Como and Switzerland! Check-in and hotel accommodations, followed by an aperitif with your guide who will explain the week's program.
Day 2
Enduro Tour Val Chiavenna
Our first day of riding is already an adrenaline rush! We start on flowing trails, then tackle a 300-meter climb that leads to an alpine pasture surrounded by chestnut trees. From there, a fun, technical descent takes us back to the valley.
After some stretches on mule tracks between abandoned villages, the shuttle takes us to Paiedo (900 m), starting point of the first real descent: a trail in the woods with alternating fast sections, technical sections and some natural steps.
Lunch break in one of the characteristic farmhouses of the Lower Valchiavenna, then we set off again towards Switzerland: once we reach the Villa Mountains (1300 m) The last and longest descent awaits us, a natural path that leads from the coniferous forests to Chiavenna, between mule tracks and chestnut groves.
Day 3
Via Spluga, Madesimo and Alpe Motta
We leave with a shuttle to Campodolcino (1000 m) and, thanks to the Sky Express, we reach theAlpe Motta, from which we descend onto one of the trails of the Madesimo Bike ParkFrom Madesimo we face the longest climb of the day up to Montespluga (1900 m) and then to the Spluga Pass, from which begins a beautiful technical descent to the village, where lunch awaits us.
In the afternoon, there are two return options based on how much energy we have:
• Cardinello Gorge – more challenging and spectacular
• Andossi + natural trail – smooth and panoramic up to Madesimo
Return to Chiavenna along a mix of road and stretches of the Via Spluga.
Day 4
From St. Moritz to Chiavenna, via the Julier Pass, the Septimer Pass, and the Bregaglia Valley
Today a spectacular all-mountain itinerary awaits us: a crossing from St. Moritz to Chiavenna through some of the most evocative Alpine landscapes.
From the slopes of St. Moritz (2050 m), reached by shuttle, you cycle towards theAlp Suvretta between panoramic dirt roads and the first descents on natural trails. A breathtaking view of theEngadine accompanies the route up to the fast descent that leads to the road of the Julier Pass (2280 m), reached with a final short climb.
From here you descend towards Bivio and tackle the main climb: 7 km of dirt road up to the Seventh Pass (2300 m), historic Roman pass that connected Chiavenna to Rhaetia.
The final descent is a dive into history: ancient mule tracks, technical sections and hairpin bends up to Casaccia, to then travel the Bregaglia Valley between trails and cycle paths up to Chiavenna.
Day 5
Rest day
After the first 3 days of riding, today we're resting in preparation for the adventures of the next few days!
Day 6
Mount Legoncino
An epic day of riding on the Lake Como, more precisely around Colic.
Our tour begins with a long climb, interrupted halfway by a short descent on single track, of about 20 km in total, to reach the Roccoli Lorla Refuge, at an altitude of 1460 m. The climb has some very steep sections on a concrete road, which will test your physical fitness!
An excellent lunch at the refuge is the right reward, before throwing ourselves into the very long descent, a mix of natural trails, also passing through the trenches of the Cadorna Line dating back to the beginning of the last century, some stretches of mule track, and flow sections with a beautiful base of coniferous undergrowth.
One of those excursions to mark on our agenda!
Day 7
Febbraro Valley, Pian dei Cavalli, and Lago Bianco
A challenging tour that will give you strong emotions and high mountain landscapes. It starts from Campodolcino (1,080 m), from there a first 10 km climb — with a gradient of up to 20% — up to 2,070 m. Descent on dirt road and natural trail up to Hamlet.
Then a second climb of 8 km in total (between asphalt, dirt road and path) leads us towards Plain of the Horses and the suggestive White Lake: a real balcony overlooking the mountains, perfect for a panoramic photo.
We continue through the woods towards Saint Sixtus, so it's finally time for a well-deserved lunch at the refuge.
After lunch, we set off again towards Campodolcino and, passing through Starlight, we will come across a fantastic new trail built in the summer of 2024 with technical sections on rock alternating with steep sections but with a beautiful coniferous surface, guaranteed fun to end the day in the best way!
